Deepen your practice through rigorous Hatha and Ashtanga training rooted in the principles of Sanatan Dharma.

Here, I demonstrate the correct approach to Paschimottanasana, or the seated forward bend. The key is not just to fold, but to extend the spine from the tailbone and engage the Uddiyana bandha to create space, protecting the lower back.

Hands-on adjustment is critical for learning advanced poses like Purna Chakrasana. I guide the student to open the upper back and straighten the arms, ensuring they understand the mechanics of the backbend safely.

A steady handstand, or Adho Mukha Vrikshasana, is built on a foundation of correct alignment and consistent practice. This is a demonstration of the strength and focus we cultivate in our training.

A class joins in chanting the Surya Mantras during Surya Namaskar. This practice connects movement with breath and devotion, making the sequence a moving meditation.

We use props like chairs and blocks to teach correct alignment in poses like Setu Bandhasana. This method helps students understand the posture anatomically and build strength safely before attempting the full expression.

This is Nauli Kriya, an advanced Shatkarma or purification technique. It involves isolating and rotating the abdominal muscles to massage the internal organs, which is very good for digestive health.

Our practice is not confined to the shala. Here, we are practicing Sirsasana (headstand) on the banks of the Ganga in Rishikesh, connecting our yoga with the energy of this sacred place.

Correct alignment in Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog) is fundamental. I am providing a hands-on adjustment to help a student find length in her spine and properly ground through her hands.

This variation of Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (Pigeon Pose) requires significant flexibility in the hips and spine. I explain the necessary components of shoulder opening and backward bending to achieve the full pose.

We begin our classes with Sanskrit chanting to center the mind and set an intention for our practice. This connects us to the ancient roots of yoga.

You will find no shortcuts here. My training focuses on the anatomy of every asana, using props like ropes and chairs to ensure you understand the skeletal mechanics. I teach you to adjust students safely, because correct alignment is the foundation of a long, healthy practice.

This training program is designed for those who want to move beyond surface-level fitness and understand the mechanics of yoga. My 200-hour foundation course is based on traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa, structured to build your strength and understanding of alignment from the ground up. We do not just practice poses. We study them.

Each module includes:

  • Asana Alignment Lab: We use props, including chairs and wall ropes, to break down postures and help you understand the internal engagement required in every movement.
  • Adjustment Training: You will learn tactile, safe hands-on adjustment techniques so you can guide your future students without risking their health.
  • Anatomy & Philosophy: We look at functional anatomy alongside the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita, ensuring your practice is intellectually and spiritually grounded.

For those ready to go further, my 300-hour upgrade moves into therapeutic applications, complex inversions, and deepening your personal self-practice. Whether you are aiming for Yoga Alliance RYT-200 or RYT-500 eligibility, the work is demanding. It requires discipline, patience, and a willingness to be corrected. If you are ready for a serious, traditional path, come to the shala.
