Namaste. I believe that Bharatanatyam is more than discipline—it is a pathway to joy, fitness, and self-expression for children and adults alike.

I believe that a dance class should be a place of joy. This video shares my core belief that while discipline is key, the most important outcome is falling in love with the art of dancing.

Your journey into the world of Bharatanatyam starts here. This poster provides details for our classes for all age groups, mentored by me at our Gurgaon and Vasant Kunj locations.

Namaste. Here, I share my thoughts on why I believe dance is such a powerful tool for growth, not just for children but for adults too. It is about discipline, but more importantly, it is about the joy that brings a smile to a student's face.

This poster announced my first performance in Reunion Island, a significant milestone as I began my role as a teacher and performer at the Cultural Centre of the Consulate General of India.

About Welcome to My Academy

I intentionally limit my batch sizes to 8–12 students to ensure I can personally correct your Araimandi (half-sit posture) and provide individual attention. All my studio sessions are conducted on sprung wooden flooring, specifically chosen to protect young knees and adult joints from impact while you learn the rigorous footwork of Bharatanatyam.

Learning the Kalakshetra Tradition

When you join the academy, you are not just learning steps; you are learning a lineage. My training comes from my time at Kalakshetra and under gurus like Saroja Vaidyanathan. In our Gurgaon and Vasant Kunj studios, we focus heavily on the foundational Adavus (footwork) and geometric body lines that define this style.

Classes for Every Age

  • For Kids: We focus on coordination, posture, and discipline. The goal is to help children find confidence, often expressing themselves through dance more clearly than they do with words. We use Dhyana Shlokas and Mudras to build mental focus alongside physical strength.

  • For Adults: My wellness batches are designed for busy professionals. We start every session with 20 minutes of conditioning—yoga stretches and core work—to build the stamina required for classical dance. We then move into Abhinaya (expression) and choreography, which acts as a powerful stress release. Whether you are revisiting dance from your childhood or starting for the first time, we adjust the movements to suit your body’s needs.

  • Online Learning: For students who cannot make it to our physical studios, I run small-group virtual sessions. By capping these at 6 students, I ensure I can see your movements clearly via video to provide real-time vocal feedback and corrections, just as I would in person.

Our Philosophy

I believe the most important thing is that dance should make you smile. If you are stressed or feeling rigid, the art form loses its soul. My studio is a space to work hard, focus on the mathematics of the Talam, and laugh when we make mistakes. If you are ready to learn in an environment that prioritizes your happiness and growth, come join us.
