What does yoga give to my brain? In one word: "PEACE." The physical practice is a moving meditation that calms the endless chatter of the mind and brings a sense of inner stillness.

This is the invocation to Patanjali, which we often chant before practice. It honors the sage who gave us the gifts of yoga to purify the mind, grammar to purify speech, and Ayurveda to purify the body.
