Nourishment for Body & Soul: Sattvic Cuisine
We believe healing starts on your plate. Our Sattvic kitchen follows ancient Ayurvedic principles to serve fresh, seasonal, and nourishing meals that help restore your natural balance.
Our food is designed to boost immunity naturally. This image of a guest enjoying a mindful meal illustrates our philosophy of using fresh, Sattvic food as medicine.
About this collection
Expect your meals here to look quite different from city dining. Our Sattvic diet is strictly vegetarian, low in salt, and free from processed sugars or heavy spices. It is designed to aid digestion and help your body reset, so we keep the flavors natural and light to let your system truly rest.
At Shathayu, we hold a 125-year-old belief that food is medicine. The Sattvic diet we serve is not just about nutrition, but about creating an internal environment where your body can heal itself. Every ingredient is chosen for its ability to balance your Doshas, following the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.
For guests requiring specific health support, we introduce the Pathya Diet. This is a therapeutic meal plan that is carefully customized based on your initial physician consultation. If you are joining us for weight management, pain relief, or diabetic support, your meals will be adjusted accordingly to ensure they work in tandem with your daily therapies.
You will not find heavy oils or refined products here. Instead, our kitchen focuses on seasonal vegetables, wholesome grains, and herbal decoctions that cleanse the system. This approach is intended to prepare your body for deep rest, ensuring that the physical and mental heaviness you might feel after a long period of city life is gently washed away by the end of your stay.
