This tutorial demonstrates a more dynamic sequence, combining strength and flexibility. You will learn how to transition between different wraps and holds with control.
Flexibility is a key component of aerial arts. This flow focuses on poses that open the hips and lengthen the body, like this controlled split variation.
We teach you how to take familiar yoga poses and adapt them to the air. Here is a look at a reverse lunge variation that builds core strength and balance.
This video showcases a fluid transition that incorporates a gentle spin. You will learn how to use momentum to create graceful, dance-like movements in the air.
Aerial yoga is also about having fun and expressing yourself. This playful Sunday flow shows how you can combine different techniques to create your own unique sequences.
About Aerial Flow & Technique Tutorials
When you start on the hammock, don't worry about the big drops immediately. We focus first on 'grip awareness'—learning exactly how the fabric sits against your skin so you can move without pinching or slipping. Getting the fundamentals of these wraps right is the only way to eventually move into those dynamic flows without fear.
Aerial arts isn't just about the 'wow' factor of an inversion; it's about the hours spent understanding the mechanics of the fabric. Whether you are working with a hammock for aerial yoga or silks for performance, the technique remains the same: you must trust the rig before you can trust your body.
Our tutorials break down complex movements into manageable flows. We start with 'grip and wrap' mechanics. Many beginners think they need intense upper-body strength to start, but the secret is in how you layer the fabric around your legs and torso to create a stable base. Once you understand the wrap, the strength comes naturally.
Progression Path
- The Foundation: We begin with basic entries and low-hanging hammock work. This builds the body memory needed for longer sequences.
- The Flow: Once you are comfortable, we introduce transitions—moving from a seated pose to a split or an inversion in one fluid motion.
- The Advanced Drop: For those in our 85-hour Rishikesh immersion, we move into dynamic drops. These require a deep understanding of weight distribution and momentum.
Safety is non-negotiable. Our spotter techniques are part of every tutorial because we know that 'taaliyaan bajti rehni chahiye' (the applause should keep going), and that only happens when you feel safe enough to push your boundaries. Whether you are training in Delhi, Indore, or Rishikesh, the focus remains on building a sustainable practice that makes you feel strong and free.
