Aerial Silks Classes in Delhi: Build Strength & Flow
Silks is where my aerial journey started, and it is still my favorite way to explore movement. Whether you are learning to climb for the first time or chasing a new drop, we will work on building clean lines and control together.
Silks has always been my first love. This video shows a simple, dance-like interaction with the fabric, highlighting the connection and playfulness I encourage in my aerial dance classes.
Here is a technical and fun sequence we work on in the intermediate aerial silks group. It involves transitions that challenge both the mind and body, focusing on clean lines and control.
How do you climb down the silks? This sequence combines a warm-up routine with a transition into a hip lock, showing how we can creatively link moves together for a full-body aerial workout.
This sequence is a compilation of moves we've been working on in classes with students of different levels. It’s a great example of how we build a routine piece by piece, focusing on the process of learning aerial tricks.
A pretty little sequence that's perfect for both classes and just for fun. It demonstrates how simple entries and exits can be combined to create an elegant flow on the aerial tissue.
Revisiting some old favorite moves on the silks. This sequence includes a controlled drop and a display of flexibility, skills we practice in our advanced aerial fitness sessions at The Boulderbox.
This is a fun entry and exit for a split that we practice in class. I love exploring how sequences can evolve, and this shows the creative process behind developing new aerial choreography.
Here is another exit for a sequence with endless possibilities. We often share variations in class, helping students like those in my intermediate group find new ways to express themselves on the fabric.
This is the "Maharaja's sequence," something we created during a class. It shows how collaborative and creative our training can be, building new aerial silk tricks together.
A short but challenging sequence on the silks. This clip focuses on the technical aspects of wrapping and unwrapping the fabric while maintaining body tension and control.
About Aerial Silks: Grace & Strength
Aerial silks is physically demanding, but it is mostly about understanding how to use the fabric to support your own body weight. In my classes, we do not rush into flashy drops. We focus on the physics behind every wrap, because that is what makes your transitions look fluid rather than forced.
Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced aerialist, my classes at The Boulderbox (Vasant Kunj) and Grip&Grab Fitness (Saket) are designed to help you find your own movement. We start every session with a mix of conditioning and technical drills. This builds the foundational grip strength and core control you need before we ever attempt an inversion.
What I love most about teaching silks is that it is an ongoing process. You will see me in these photos working through sequences that are not always perfectly executed. That is exactly what I encourage in class, the willingness to try, fall, get back on the fabric, and adjust. We practice everything from fundamental climbs to complex hip locks and drops, always with safety and controlled movement as our guide.
If you are coming in for the first time, expect to learn how to manipulate the fabric to create different shapes. We will work on your stamina, flexibility, and spatial awareness. I keep the student to equipment ratio low to ensure everyone gets hands-on guidance with their knots and positioning. Come ready to sweat, maybe laugh at yourself a little when things get tangled, and eventually, discover that feeling of floating.
