About this collection

Every Ganesha statue is carved from seasoned Vagai wood, which is naturally termite-resistant. When you choose your finish, whether it is the deep, matte Wax Brown or the vibrant, detailed enamel paint, remember that the wood’s natural grain means no two idols will ever be identical.

Our approach to carving the Ganesha form is governed by Shilpa Shastra guidelines, ensuring that proportions for the trunk, limbs, and facial features remain traditional and balanced. We offer a wide range of sizes, starting from 9-inch table idols up to 7-foot statues for temple or grand living spaces.

When you select a piece, consider the placement. We create the dancing Nritya Ganapati specifically for high-energy areas, while our reclining or seated forms work well in quiet meditation corners. Our workshop uses traditional hand tools rather than machines. This process allows us to create the delicate Jali lattice work often found on our larger pieces, where we carve deep into the wood to create natural openings between the limbs and torso.

We provide two primary finish options. The Wax Brown finish enhances the natural texture of the Vagai wood, perfect for spaces with organic decor. The hand-painted enamel finish is more traditional, often used for Mappillai Ganesha or ceremonial statues where specific color symbolism is required. Every statue, regardless of size, includes our GI certification card, verifying its origin in Thammampatty.
