Our Yogic Path: Yoga Beyond the Mat
Yoga is not just a physical practice, but a way of living. Explore our philosophy of ahimsa, nature-inspired living, and the deep, evolving bond within our community.
The yogic principle of Ahimsa (non-violence) extends to all living beings. We believe in consuming less, wasting less, and treading gently on the earth, sharing it with compassion.
We don't own the planet earth; we belong to it. A moment of connection, reminding us to practice Ahimsa and share our world with all living beings.
On Teacher's Day, we thank our own Gurus and all the students who have trusted us on this yogic journey. The relationship between a teacher and student is sacred and built on mutual respect and trust.
About Our Yogic Path
We believe the practice on the mat must translate to how we treat the world around us. In this space, we move beyond perfecting postures to explore how concepts like Ahimsa (non-violence) and Aparigraha (non-possessiveness) shape our daily choices, our interactions with nature, and our commitment to the community we have built together.
At Sayujya Yoga, our path is defined by the depth of our sadhana rather than the complexity of our asanas. When we speak of a yogic path, we are inviting you to look at yoga as a framework for life. This involves integrating ancient wisdom from the Yoga Sutras and the Upanishads into your modern schedule.
The Gurukul system teaches us that the relationship between a teacher and student is sacred. It is not a transactional exchange, but a shared journey of self-realization. We nurture this through our hybrid batches, where we ensure each student receives personal attention, whether you are logging in from your home or joining us at our studio in Ghatkopar.
We also practice what we teach. Whether it is minimizing our environmental footprint in line with yogic principles or supporting fellow seekers through community day trips and satsang, our aim is to foster a space where you feel seen and supported. If you are a teacher looking to expand your knowledge or a dedicated practitioner ready to deepen your commitment, we invite you to explore this path with us.
