Acro Yoga Classes in Paschim Vihar: Build Strength and Trust
Forget solo gym sessions. Our Acro Yoga classes are where fitness meets flying, laughter, and serious strength-building with a partner.
Here you can see different pairs practicing acro yoga lifts. I am actively spotting and adjusting a pair to ensure correct form and safety. We work on poses like this supported straddle inversion to build confidence and strength.
A glimpse into our partner yoga practice where members work together on backbends and other flexibility poses. One person acts as a base, providing a stable foundation for the other to deepen their stretch in a supported Ustrasana (Camel Pose).
Our 9:30 AM group showing their amazing power. This clip features various partner and group acro poses, from supported headstands to creative human formations, highlighting the strength and coordination we build together.
Celebrating Maha Shivaratri with some powerful partner backbends. In these poses, one partner supports the other, allowing for a deeper and more assisted stretch. It’s a great way to improve flexibility and connect with your partner.
I am demonstrating how to safely assist a student into a supported plow pose (Halasana). This hands-on guidance is key to helping our members achieve advanced postures they might not be able to do alone.
Here I am providing hands-on assistance to help a student with a deep stretching pose. This kind of personalized support helps improve flexibility and ensures that each member is practicing safely and effectively.
This video shows me assisting several students with different challenging poses. My hands-on approach ensures everyone feels safe while pushing their limits, whether it's a deep stretch or a balancing posture.
About Acro Yoga: Lifts, Flights & Balances
Acro Yoga looks intimidating, but it is actually safer than you think because I am there to spot you every second. You will be doing L-basing and flying poses within your first session, but do not be surprised if your core feels the burn the next day—it is deceptively hard work disguised as play.
Here, yoga is not a solo journey; it is a team effort. In these sessions, we split the practice into two roles: the 'base' who provides the foundation and the 'flyer' who explores the poses in the air. Whether you bring a friend, your partner, or join as a solo participant to meet someone new, the dynamic is always supportive.
What we actually do:
- Foundation Work: We start by learning how to balance and support each other, ensuring you feel secure before trying anything advanced.
- Strength & Flexibility: This is a serious workout. Between holding your partner and stabilizing your own core, you will find muscles you did not know existed. We incorporate yoga wheels and Iyengar-style ropes to deepen stretches.
- Safety First: As your coach, I am always right there to spot you. We do not jump into complex pyramids until the basics of weight distribution and communication are solid.
Why it works:
Most people come here for the 'masti'—the laughter and the social vibe of our Meera Bagh studio. But the reality is that the physical gains are real. Partner yoga forces you to pay attention to your alignment and your partner's movements, which improves your focus and balance far faster than staring at a wall in a regular gym. It is about building trust, both in yourself and in the person you are training with. If you are looking for a fitness routine that keeps you smiling while making you sweat, this is where you belong.
