Acroyoga and Partner Yoga Classes in Rohini
Yoga is better with a partner. We use acroyoga to build trust, core strength, and balance. Whether you bring a friend or join solo, these classes are about moving together and having fun while you get fit.
This classic acroyoga pose, known as "Front Bird," is excellent for beginners. The base builds leg strength and stability, while the flyer develops core control and balance.
We also explore more complex group dynamics, like this three-person acroyoga pose. This requires communication and synchronized effort from everyone involved.
Here I am acting as the base for a student in a supported backbend. This partner stretch helps to safely open the chest and spine far more than one could alone.
In this partner pose, I demonstrate a plank, providing a stable base for the student's warrior pose. This variation builds immense core strength for the base and balance for the flyer.
Students work together to create beautiful and challenging shapes. This pose combines a forearm stand with a supportive lunge, showcasing both strength and flexibility.
I guide students, including children, through partner poses that are both playful and beneficial. This assisted wheel pose helps build confidence and trust between the young practitioners.
About Acroyoga & Partner Practice
My partner sessions at the Amba Tower studio focus on stability and clear communication between the base and the flyer. You do not need to be a gymnast to start. We focus on building your foundation so you can hold poses safely. I guide every movement to ensure your alignment is correct, helping you avoid strain while you challenge your limits.
Building Trust and Strength
Acroyoga is not just about balancing; it is about building connection. When you work with a partner, you learn to support and be supported. In my classes, we treat the 'base' and the 'flyer' roles with equal importance. You will learn to use your breath to stabilize and your core to maintain balance, even in challenging inversions.
Why Practice at My Rohini Studio?
My studio at Amba Tower, DC Chowk, is designed for safe learning. We use:
- Small Batches: I limit groups to 8-12 people. This ensures I can physically adjust your posture and give you the personal attention needed for advanced poses.
- Pro-Grade Props: Whether we are using blocks for stability or the rope wall (Yoga Kurunta) to prep your spine, the equipment is there to help you go deeper into the stretch without injury.
- Anatomical Focus: We do not just mimic poses. We focus on how your joints and muscles work, especially during partner lifts and stretches.
Can Beginners Join?
Absolutely. Many people assume acroyoga requires prior acrobatic experience, but that is not true. We start with simple balances and trust-building drills. If you are joining solo, I will pair you with a partner of similar skill. My goal is to make sure you feel 'urja' (energy) and leave the mat stronger than when you arrived. If you are dealing with specific issues like back pain or are just looking to improve your flexibility, I incorporate therapeutic elements to ensure your practice is sustainable.
