Building Strength and Flexibility for Kids
We build a strong foundation for every child, using age-appropriate asanas and stretches. With hands-on support, kids safely progress from basics to advanced poses, building confidence with every movement.
I believe in partner work to make stretching more effective and fun. Here, I am helping a young student safely deepen her split (Hanumanasana), building both flexibility and trust.
With gentle guidance, every child can improve their flexibility. I work with each student individually to help them progress in back-bending poses like Ustrasana (camel pose) at their own pace.
Here is a look at our regular kids' yoga batch, focusing on foundational poses. I assist each child in poses like Bhujangasana (cobra pose) to ensure they build a strong and healthy back.
Partner stretches are a great way for kids to help each other and understand their bodies better. I guide them through seated forward bends and splits, encouraging teamwork and flexibility.
Using the wall and ropes is a great technique to help kids safely achieve full splits. I am always there to provide support and encouragement as they work on their flexibility goals.
During our summer camp, we focus on advanced yoga skills. I provide careful assistance to help kids master challenging poses that build full-body strength and control.
Our kids' yoga batches are now open! I work closely with each student, like helping with this scorpion pose variation, to ensure they are learning advanced asanas safely.
We incorporate gymnastics basics into our yoga classes for a full-body workout. I assist the kids with handstands and walkovers to build their arm strength and coordination.
Learning a handstand takes practice and courage. I teach kids how to use the wall for support to build the necessary arm and core strength, making the process safe and achievable.
Our students work hard to master advanced standing poses. I provide the necessary support to help them achieve full splits and improve their balance and flexibility.
About Building Strength & Flexibility
It is normal to worry about your child attempting advanced poses like backbends or splits. That is why our sessions are never just about following the instructor from a distance. We are right there for every movement—whether it is using a strap to deepen a stretch or physically supporting their back in a pose—ensuring they build strength and improve flexibility without any risk.
At Satvik Power Yoga, we believe in progression. We do not jump straight into complex poses. We start with warm-ups and mobility drills to prepare the body. Once a student is ready, we introduce props like straps, blocks, or the wall to help them master poses like Ustrasana (camel pose) or deep splits.
Being flexible is not just about showing off; it is about joint health and long-term posture improvement. Whether it is building the core strength needed for a handstand or working on deep backbends like Chakrasana, we provide physical support and guidance until each child is ready to perform the pose on their own.
Our studio in Paschim Vihar is where kids come to learn discipline, but with a lot of fun. We work hard, but we also ensure there is plenty of laughter. If your child is looking to gain height, improve their focus, or just get stronger, come by for a trial. We will work on their goals together, step by step.
Satvik Power Yoga
I am the lead coach at Satvik Power Yoga, and I believe fitness should be something kids actually look forward to. I am always on the mat with my students, guiding every move and giving high-fives when they nail a pose. For me, it is about making them feel strong and happy, not just flexible.
