Creative Arts and Crafts Classes for Kids
From tote bag painting to glass art, our hands-on craft sessions help children explore textures, colors, and functional design in a fun, relaxed space.
Anaya, an 8th standard student, with her finished tote bag art. She used acrylics on the jute bag to create a unique design inspired by Frida Kahlo.
Siya, a 7th standard student, receives her completed tote bag. She painted a traditional conch shell design using acrylics on the jute material.
Spruha, a 4th standard student, shows off her glass painting. She has painted a beautiful seasonal tree on a glass, learning how to use special paints for a transparent effect.
A display of various glass paintings done by our students. They have decorated glasses with colorful fruit and floral patterns using acrylic paints.
This video gives a closer look at the glass painting projects by our 1st to 4th standard students. Each glass is decorated with bright, cheerful designs.
This video shows the process of creating 3D relief art with resin. Student Inshara Khan is carefully building up layers of material to create textured flowers.
Natanya, a 6-year-old from our Jr. KG batch, created this lovely night sky on a flower-shaped wooden piece. It's a simple yet beautiful craft project that teaches about space and texture.
About Fun with Arts & Crafts
Our craft sessions move beyond standard paper projects. We teach kids to apply their designs to functional items like jute tote bags and glass, giving them a physical object they can use at home. In our small batches of 10 to 15, children get individual guidance to handle different materials, ensuring they feel confident whether it is their first time painting or they are perfecting a complex 3D relief.
Hands-on Learning
Art is more than just drawing on paper. At Saptarang Art Academy, we believe that when a child paints on a tote bag or creates a glass painting, they learn to see their environment as a canvas. This tactile approach helps improve motor skills and patience, especially for younger students in our Jr. KG to 4th standard batches.
What We Cover
- Surface Exploration: We experiment with acrylics on jute and wood, teaching kids how different textures absorb paint.
- Glass & Transparency: Students learn the delicate process of painting on glass, focusing on clean lines and vibrant color saturation.
- 3D and Relief Work: We introduce materials like resin to create textured, raised effects that bring a painting to life.
Why Our Approach Works
We keep our batches small (10 to 15 students) because art requires attention. Whether you are joining our in-person sessions at our Marol studio or connecting via Google Meet for our interactive online classes, the focus remains on your child’s process. We provide the special craft supplies for workshops, while students build their skills using a consistent set of materials, helping them understand how to care for their tools. We view every craft project as a chance to build confidence—because at the end of the day, art karna (doing art) is about the joy of creating something new.
Saptarang Art Academy
I started Saptarang Art Academy because I believe art should be a source of happiness for kids, not just a list of techniques. Whether your child is painting on a tote bag or experimenting with glass art, I am there to guide them through every step of the process. My studio in Andheri East is a space where every messy, creative idea is celebrated.
