About Drawing & Sketching Adventures
When we teach drawing, we do not just hand out paper and pencils. We often work on panoramic 'Jungle Story' canvases where students combine sketch pens and oil pastels to build a narrative scene. This is not just about coloring inside lines; it is about teaching children how to construct a scene from a blank page, piece by piece.
Our Approach to Drawing
At Saptarang Art Academy, art is about joy, not just technique. Whether a student is in Jr. KG or 11th standard, our focus is on building a strong foundation. For our younger students, this means mastering oil pastels, understanding color blending, and developing motor skills through fun projects like our theme-based workshops.
Skills for Older Students
As students progress, we shift toward more technical skills required for school competitions and government grade exams. This includes:
- Still Life & Object Drawing: We use physical props like pots and drapery in our studio to teach shading, light, shadow, and perspective.
- Human Anatomy: Lessons on hand drawing and facial expressions for portraiture.
- Medium Mastery: Advanced techniques in watercolors, poster colors, and acrylics.
Learning Formats
We understand that convenience matters for parents. We offer:
- Offline Classes: Our studio in Andheri East features floor seating to encourage comfort and focus, keeping batch sizes small (10-15 students) to ensure every child gets personal correction.
- Online Classes: Our live Google Meet sessions use a dual-camera setup so students can clearly see my hand movements and receive real-time feedback, just as if they were in the studio with us.
Everything we do, from celebrating national events like Chandrayaan-3 through our art to intensive exam prep, is designed to make Art karna (doing art) a rewarding experience for every child.
