Taekwondo Training Fundamentals
Every class is a step towards building discipline, strength, and confidence. We focus on the core fundamentals of Taekwondo—stances, Poomsae, and controlled techniques—in a supportive environment where everyone belongs.
A student practices a front flip on a safety mat, an exercise that builds agility and body control.
A young student practices her kicks on a punching bag, learning power and precision with my guidance.
We put in extra practice to perfect our techniques, from high kicks and flexibility stretches to strength-building exercises.
Flexibility is key in Taekwondo. A student demonstrates a full split during a conditioning session.
Even our youngest students learn fight training basics, practicing kicks and punches on pads in a safe and encouraging way.
About Training: The Foundation of Skill
When you walk into our academy for your first session, you won't be expected to perform flying kicks immediately. We focus on the basics first: learning how to stand, how to breathe, and how to control your body. You will notice that our training in Okhla is just as much about mental focus and physical conditioning—stretching, stamina, and agility—as it is about the strikes themselves. We want you to walk out feeling stronger than when you walked in.
At Strike International Taekwondo Academy, my goal is simple: to make Taekwondo accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of your starting point. Whether you are enrolling your toddler, a teenager, or looking to start your own fitness journey, we build from the ground up.
The Core Curriculum
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student begins with the foundational building blocks:
- Stances & Forms (Poomsae): This is the heart of Taekwondo. You will learn the discipline of repetition and precision, which builds both balance and deep focus.
- Physical Conditioning: We incorporate commando-style drills, agility ladders, and consistent stretching to improve your flexibility and endurance. It is hard work, but it is the best way to get results.
- Self-Defense Basics: Safety is a priority. We integrate practical defense techniques into every session so you learn how to protect yourself while developing situational awareness.
Why Train With Us?
I am a Kukkiwon certified Black Belt and national judge, but I define my success by the smiles on my students' faces. We are not just training fighters; we are building confident individuals.
Our facility in Okhla is equipped with 25mm EVA mats for safety, and we maintain an inclusive, family-like atmosphere. You are not just joining a gym; you are joining a community where respect and 'humne jo seekha hai mohabbat mein jeena' (what we have learned is to live in love) is the guiding principle. From your very first belt promotion test to your first competitive tournament, we are here to support your journey, Alhamdulillah.
