About Karate Training
Why I Teach Karate
I started Sai Karate Academy in Gurgaon because I believe karate is more than just sport - it’s a way to build khud pe bharosa (self-belief) and respect, both for yourself and others. Being India’s team captain and an official selector, I’ve seen how much a simple class can change someone’s confidence and discipline.
Who Fits In Here
- Four years old ho ya forty, sab ke liye jagah hai (there's space for everyone, young or old)
- Separate classes for kids, teens, adults, and even whole parivaar (families)
- Extra focus for girls and women - self-defense is a must, not a bonus
What Training Looks Like
- Kihon - basics matter, so we do lots of drills for punches, kicks, blocks
- Kata (forms) - helps with muscle memory and technique, kind of like an imaginary fight
- Kumite - sparring in a safe, controlled way to build timing and strategy
- Karate self-defense training for real-life situations
- Fitness routines for strength, flexibility, stamina
- Meditation added in for mental focus
Our Dojo
- Training hall has padded mats, bags, mirrors, all the basics
- Discipline first: bow when you enter, respect teachers and students, always wear uniform, no shoes or khaana (food) inside
My Goal
The real win for me? Students who move aage se aage (onward and upward), whether that means winning medals or just feeling stronger. I’m here to help you find your own sunhara bhavishya (bright future) through karate.

My Story
Namaste dosto, I’m Sunil Saini, founder of Sai Karate Academy. Karate for me is zindagi (life), not just a sport. I’ve played at All India Police Games, been Team Captain for India, and now I’m Sports Secretary Gurgaon. But real khushi (joy) is seeing our students win – district se lekar (from district) Asian Games tak. Mera koshish (my effort) is to give kids a platform, sponsor them, and push them aage se aage (onward and upward). Humare bachche (our kids) are my pride.
