On stage, nobody knew I was a Type-1 insulin-dependent diabetic. I prove that with the right knowledge of diet, training, and health management, you can overcome huge obstacles and compete with the best.
My goal is to become the first IFBB pro bodybuilder born with Type-1 diabetes. This trophy is a step on that journey, proving that this condition doesn't have to stop you from achieving your biggest goals.
You can see my continuous glucose monitor (CGM) sensor on my back during this workout. As a diabetic athlete, I constantly track my levels to ensure I'm training hard but also safely, a skill I teach my clients.

About The Diabetic Warrior: Competing with Type-1
Listen, prepping for a show while managing insulin is tricky, but it is 100% doable. I don’t give you generic, copy-paste plans. Because I am a Type-1 diabetic myself, I teach you how to manage your blood sugar spikes during heavy lifting and water loading phases so your health does not take a backseat to your trophy.
Managing Diabetes on the Stage
Most coaches do not understand that your insulin needs change drastically during a cutting phase or peak week. They look at macros, I look at your glucose levels. When we work together, we use tools like CGMs to track your real-time response to heavy sets. Whether you are aiming for a Men's Physique or Classic Physique title in Delhi, we build a protocol that balances your metabolic health with your muscle growth.
My Approach to Prep
We do not guess your sodium intake or carb cycling. Everything is tracked. We focus on:
- Insulin Timing: Adjusting your doses around workout windows to prevent dangerous drops.
- Glucose Management: Keeping you stable during high-intensity sessions so you can actually push to failure.
- Peak Week Safety: Managing water and salt loading without putting your health at risk.
If you are training with me at my gym in Rajouri Garden, I personally monitor your vitals during those heavy compound lifts. This is about proving that your condition is not a barrier to standing on that stage. You need a coach who knows exactly how your body reacts because they have been there themselves.
