Timeless Traditional Mandaps
From intricate coconut leaf art to fresh jasmine garlands, I build mandaps that honor tradition. Let’s make your wedding ceremony beautiful, sacred, and entirely yours.
This is a beautiful example of a traditional South Indian wedding setup. We used a custom backdrop with intricate patterns and a painting of a goddess, framed by heavy garlands of jasmine and roses. The decor includes traditional elements like woven coconut leaves and brass pots.
We built this outdoor wedding mantapa with a vibrant color scheme of purple, yellow, and white flowers. The structure features traditional wooden pillars, a decorative canopy, and hanging floral tassels, perfect for a daytime ceremony in a garden setting.
This video shows the heart of our work. You can see my team's hands meticulously crafting lotus and cow motifs from individual flower petals. The final result is a beautiful, traditional stage with ornate chairs, showing our commitment to detailed craftsmanship.
A closer look at the details of a traditional Hindu ceremony decor. We use elements like fresh mangoes, intricate flower garlands made of jasmine and lotus buds, and brass vessels to create an atmosphere of auspiciousness and natural beauty.
This video shows the process of creating a traditional 'Chapra' or wedding pandal. We start by weaving fresh coconut leaves and then assemble the structure, decorating it with columns of coconuts and beautiful garlands of red and white flowers for a housewarming or wedding.
Watch as we transform a simple stage into a stunning backdrop for a naming ceremony. This behind-the-scenes video shows my team constructing the arched doorway and arranging the floral decor, featuring large spheres of white flowers and hanging orange marigolds.
Here is a glimpse of my team in action, setting up a traditional wedding mandap at the Moongate venue. You can see us assembling the roof structure and bringing in bags of fresh flowers, showing the hard work that goes into creating the final beautiful setup.
About this collection
A traditional mandap isn't just about the structure; it's about the craftsmanship behind it. My team and I hand-weave every coconut leaf 'chapra' and arrange each fresh jasmine garland on-site. We don't just rent out pre-made setups. We build yours from scratch so it fits your venue perfectly, whether it's a temple-style mandap or a simple, elegant garden stage.
The Art of the Traditional Mandap
When you choose a traditional mandap, you are not just picking a backdrop for photos; you are setting the stage for the most important rituals of your life. That is why I focus heavily on the sensory details. The smell of fresh tuberose and jasmine is what guests notice first. I personally oversee the assembly of the four-pillar structures to ensure they look grounded and authentic, not like plastic imitations.
What Goes Into Your Mandap:
- Coconut Leaf Art (Chapra): We specialize in the intricate weaving of coconut fronds. This is labor-intensive, old-school craft, but it brings a raw, authentic texture that factory-made plastic decor simply cannot match.
- Fresh Florals: We use dense garlands of marigold, jasmine, and rose tips. We source these locally in Bengaluru to ensure they are fresh for your ceremony.
- Ritual Readiness: I know the requirements for different customs. Whether you need a specific space for the Havan Kund, low seating for the bride and groom, or placement for traditional brass lamps (kuthu vilakku), I plan the layout so it flows naturally for the priest and the couple.
- Venue Adaptability: Whether you are getting married at a large wedding hall in Yelahanka or a smaller garden venue, we adjust our pillar heights and canopy sizes to fit the space. If you have a specific family heirloom or deity statue you want included in the backdrop, tell me. I love incorporating personal touches that make the mandap feel like yours, not just another rental.
Let’s talk about your vision. You share the Pinterest board or the family tradition you want to follow, and I will tell you exactly how we can build it.
