Explosive Lifts: Building Power for the Ring

We don't lift just to look big. We train to move better, react faster, and last longer. Strength without speed is wasted effort, and we build the kind of power that keeps you moving for twelve rounds.

This is explosive strength training. We use barbell exercises like the overhead press and deadlift to build raw power that translates directly into harder punches and a stronger frame.

Strength training is for everyone. Here you see members of all levels working on different exercises, from bicep curls with a barbell to overhead presses with plates and weighted tricep dips.

We use dumbbells for a wide range of strength exercises. This includes dumbbell rows, renegade rows, and lunges to build unilateral strength, correct imbalances, and improve overall stability.

Weight plates are not just for the barbell. We use them for exercises like steering wheel raises and overhead presses to build shoulder strength and endurance, which is crucial for keeping your guard up.

This is a snapshot of a busy strength session. Members are working on barbell squats, kettlebell swings, and hitting the speed bag. It's a combination of power, skill, and endurance.

Here we focus on building a strong foundation. You can see members doing sandbag squats, dumbbell work, and barbell deadlifts. Each exercise is chosen to build functional power.

This is a women's strength class. Here, a member is working on her bench press form with proper supervision. Strength has no gender, only dedication.

About this collection

You won't find air-conditioned luxury here. Instead, you will see tractor tires, mudgars, and heavy barbells being used to develop functional explosive power. We focus on form over ego, with a 1:3 coach-to-student ratio in our semi-private sessions to ensure your technique is safe and effective.

Strength With a Purpose

In the ring, raw strength is useless if you cannot deliver it with speed. Our explosive lifting program is designed to bridge that gap. We utilize compound movements like barbell squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses, but we strip away the bodybuilder mindset. Everything we do serves the sport of boxing—building the core stability to absorb shots and the kinetic chain to throw harder ones.

How We Train

We work in a raw, warehouse setting in Bommanahalli. It is simple, effective, and stripped of distractions. Whether you are using our tractor tires for rotational core work, or performing Olympic lifting derivatives like cleans and snatches, every movement is tracked to ensure progressive overload.

  • Technique First: If your form breaks, you stop. We prioritize safety and efficiency over lifting heavy for the sake of it.
  • Unconventional Tools: We mix in mudgars (Indian wooden clubs) and agility ladders to improve grip strength and coordination.
  • Inclusive Environment: You do not need to be a professional fighter to train this way. We have dedicated women-only cohorts and group functional fitness classes where the standard remains the same: show up, work hard, and get results.

Why It Matters

Many people think boxing is just about the arms. That is wrong. Power starts from the ground up—your feet, your hips, and your core. By strengthening these areas through controlled, explosive lifts, you will notice you do not tire out as quickly. If you are ready to stop guessing and start training, come down and let’s get to work. Ho jayega.
