To master the snatch, you must first master the basics. Here, I'm demonstrating a snatch-grip deadlift, a preparatory exercise that builds strength and reinforces the correct starting position.

Can you name this exercise? It's the power clean, a fundamental Olympic lift for developing explosive power from the ground up.

The deadlift is one of the best exercises for building total-body strength. Here, I'm performing a heavy Romanian deadlift to target the hamstrings and glutes.
