Boxing Strength & Conditioning: Functional Training
You do not need raw power; you need the engine to sustain your speed. We use mudgars, tyres, and functional drills to build the stamina that keeps you moving through every round.
Our sessions are a mix of skill and power. Here, members are doing a strength circuit with battle ropes and other equipment while sparring takes place in the ring.

We incorporate traditional Indian strength training with mudgars. This exercise is fantastic for building shoulder stability, grip strength, and rotational power.

A CrossFit style training session. We use a variety of equipment and exercises to build the raw strength and endurance that every boxer needs.
A cool-down and stretching session is mandatory after hard training. Here, members work on their flexibility to aid recovery and prevent injuries.
About this collection
It is not about how much you can bench press or how you look in the mirror. We use traditional Indian clubs, or mudgars, because they build the shoulder stability and rotational power you actually use in the ring. You will swing heavy ropes and flip tyres because a real punch starts from the ground up, and your legs need to be ready to support that explosive movement.
Most gyms have you lifting weights in isolation. At Rox, we train the way a fighter moves. If you are here for our Strength and Conditioning sessions, expect to work on agility, functional stability, and raw cardiovascular output. We do not use machines; we use the tools that force you to engage your entire body.
Why This Matters
Boxing is a full-body sport. If your core is weak, you cannot transfer energy from your feet to your fists. If your shoulders are not conditioned, you will drop your guard in the third round. Our drills are designed to solve these exact problems. Whether it is CrossFit-style circuits to push your heart rate up or mudgar work to strengthen your grip and joints, everything has a purpose.
The Rox Approach
- Functional Strength: We use kettlebells, sledgehammers, and tyre flips. These movements mimic the pushing, pulling, and twisting required in a boxing match.
- Agility & Cardio: High-volume drills, jumping rope, and ladder exercises ensure you stay fast on your feet when the pressure is on.
- Recovery: We do not just train hard; we cool down properly. Stretching routines at the end of each session are mandatory to prevent injury and keep you ready for the next day.
This is not a regular fitness class. It is a 'Fight Camp' mindset for everyone, regardless of whether you want to step into the ring or just want the conditioning of a fighter. We push you to find that limit, and when you think you are done, we say 'zinda rakho'—keep it alive.
