Yoga Practice: Hatha Vinyasa and Personal Training in Mumbai
From personal home training to group flows, my practice is about finding balance. Whether you are stiff or experienced, yoga is for everyone—just show up and breathe.
This is a moment from a personal yoga coaching session with Neha Dhupia. We are practicing Navasana, or Boat Pose, which is excellent for building core strength and focus. My at-home sessions are tailored to your specific goals, whether it's mastering a pose or simply finding balance in your day.
Here I am moving through a flow that includes Astavakrasana, the Eight-Angle Pose. This is an advanced arm balance that requires a lot of core and upper body strength, but like all poses, it comes with dedicated practice. My Hatha Vinyasa classes build this strength progressively.
This is a clip from a session with Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps. As he says, even after just one month, yoga can make a huge difference for a stiff body. It’s not about being perfect from day one; it’s about showing up and letting the practice work its magic.
There is a special energy when we practice together. This video shows a group Hatha Vinyasa class, moving in sync through a sequence of warrior and triangle poses. Group sessions are a great way to feel the collective motivation and shared focus of a community.
A healthy spine is key to overall wellness. This is a simple and effective sequence I teach for building a strong and flexible spine, moving through poses like Vajrasana, Dog Pose, and a standing forward bend. These movements are fundamental to my classes and help relieve back stiffness.
Finding balance in a handstand, or Adho Mukha Vrksasana, under this arched walkway. Inversions like this challenge your perspective and build immense focus and upper body strength. It’s a reminder that with practice, we can find stability even when the world is upside down.
Yes, dog yoga is a real and wonderful thing. Here’s a look at a session where our furry friends join in, bringing a unique joy and lightness to the practice. It proves my belief that yoga truly is for everybody and every being.
Sharing the practice with talented actors Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa. Whether it's holding a Tree Pose for balance or moving through other asanas, it's always a pleasure to guide dedicated individuals on their yoga journey.
About Featured
Whether it's a 1-on-1 session at your home or a group class in the studio, we move with breath, not just muscle. You don't need to be flexible to start—you just need to arrive on the mat. My sessions are about finding your own pace, whether you are working on strength, mobility, or simply finding a moment of calm in a busy day.
Yoga is a journey of the self, and my role is simply to provide the space for that journey to unfold. My classes are rooted in Hatha Vinyasa, meaning we connect every movement to your breath. We flow from pose to pose, which builds heat and clears the mind, but we also take time to slow down, practice pranayama (breath control), and end with Shavasana for true rest.
How We Practice
- Personal Home Training: I travel to your location across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. These 60–75 minute sessions are customized to your daily energy levels, with manual adjustments to help you safely deepen your postures.
- Group Sessions: Practicing in a community, or sangha, has a unique energy. These classes are perfect if you enjoy the motivation of a group and want to learn through verbal cues and demonstration.
- Specialty Workshops: From Dog Yoga to 108 Sun Salutations, these events are about community and joy. They are a great way to experience yoga in a more relaxed, social setting.
It Is Not About Perfection
Many students come to me worried about their 'stiff' bodies. Please, let that go. As the gurus say, 'Practice and all is coming.' Whether you are a total beginner, an expecting mom, or an athlete looking to improve mobility, the goal is never to twist into impossible shapes. The goal is to build a practice that supports your life. If you are in Mumbai and looking to start or deepen your abhyas (practice), I am here to guide you.
Rohit Flow Yoga
I’m Rohit, and for me, yoga is a lifelong practice of showing up. I have taught everyone from actors to school kids, and my goal is always the same: helping you move past the 'I can't' and into the 'I am.' It is not about perfecting a handstand—it is about finding a moment of peace in your day.
