About

For me, yoga isn’t just poses - it’s about using the body and breath to actually get to know yourself. My retreats are a space to find your own light, like the old saying goes, "Appa deepo bhava" (be a light unto yourself). We’re not escaping life here, just learning to show up for it with more presence.

What Happens at My Retreats

You won’t just be on your mat. Here’s what we do:

  • Daily movement - Hatha Vinyasa flow, syncing breath with movement, building strength and awareness.
  • Breath and meditation sessions (Pranayama and Dhyan) to help quiet your mind. Feels tough at first, but gets easier.
  • Nature time - sunrise or sunset yoga, sometimes trekking or hiking. Practicing outside hits different.
  • Community - we create our own sanga (circle), sharing and supporting one another.

Practice Details

I teach dynamic "Flow Yoga" - every posture connects to the breath. It’s for all levels. You listen to your body, not force it. If you’re up for it, we work toward advanced stuff like arm balances and backbends, but it’s always slow and steady. My style is - "Karat karat abhyas ke, jadmati hot sujan" (Even a fool grows wise with practice).

Beyond Yoga

We chill together for Satsang (group talks). Sometimes we dive into yogic wisdom from texts like the Bhagavad Gita, but it’s more conversation than lecture. Helps make sense of what happens off the mat too.

Retreat Locations

I pick places with real energy. Past retreats have been in Varanasi’s Yogashala and in the quiet mountains of Maharashtra. Every spot is chosen to help you unplug and look inward.

My Story

Yoga for me is living in the now, not just twisting into shapes. I’ve taught actors, Mumbai Police families, school kids, my own family, even on TV sets. Doesn’t matter if it’s a fancy studio or a park, the vibe is always about finding yourself. My mantra? I was searching for someone to lift me up, turns out, I was looking for myself. Yoga helps you see that. It’s not about perfect poses, it’s about feeling alive.
