True dance is as much about the stillness in between the steps as it is about the movement. Join me for conditioning that blends yoga, balance, and fluid improvisation to help you move with grace and control.

The Chandra Namaskara, or Moon Salutation, is a beautiful, flowing sequence that cools the body and improves flexibility. It's a perfect complement to a rigorous dance practice.

Balance is a skill that can be trained. This sequence of leg extensions and holds challenges your stability and strengthens the small muscles in your feet and ankles, improving your overall control.

The Bakasana, or Crow Pose, is an arm balance that builds incredible upper body and core strength. I guide students through the progressions to achieve challenging postures like this safely.

This workout focuses on building strength, stability, and suppleness through animal flow movements. This type of training improves coordination and control in a dynamic, fluid way.

Movement improvisation is a way to connect with your body and explore its capabilities. This fluid sequence is a great post-workout routine to cool down and encourage creative expression.

Here is another example of movement improvisation. Letting the body move freely without strict technique helps in releasing tension and discovering new pathways of movement.

This is a fast-paced look at a full workout flow for dancers. It combines strength, cardio, and mobility elements into one efficient routine that builds stamina and coordination.

This short routine shows a seamless flow between different conditioning exercises. The goal is to move continuously, challenging both your physical endurance and your mental focus.

A fun, dynamic workout sequence that gets the whole body moving. These flows are designed to be engaging and effective, ensuring you build strength while enjoying the process.

About Yoga, Balance & Fluid Movement

Balance is not static. It is a constant dialogue between your body and gravity. In these sessions, we use yoga-inspired drills and fluid movement to train your ankles and core, so that whether you are holding a pose or executing a complex turn, your center stays strong. We do not just stretch, we build the stability needed to make your performance look effortless.

Dance is as much about the pause as it is about the action. In my studio, we deconstruct dance movements to understand how the body holds its weight. Whether we are practicing a Chandra Namaskara flow or exploring animal flow movements, the goal is the same, to create a body that is supple yet strong.

Many students come to me because they struggle with stability in their turns or feel tension after a long rehearsal. My sessions combine the discipline of Yoga asanas with the fluidity of Kalaripayattu and Pilates. We do not just look at the pose. We look at the alignment of your ankles, the engagement of your core, and the way you breathe through a transition.

This practice is for everyone. You do not need to be a professional dancer to benefit from this movement work. If you want to increase your range of motion, improve your posture, or simply find a way to move that feels intuitive and joyful, these sessions will help you find that connection. We work in small groups and individual consultations at our Rustam Bagh studio, ensuring you get the attention your body needs.
