A strong core and a healthy spine are the foundation of every dancer's technique. My program focuses on targeted exercises to build stability, prevent back pain, and allow for powerful, controlled movements. We work on everything from planks and spinal articulation to dynamic core sequences.
Joint Mobility: Hips, Knees & Shoulders
Free your movement and prevent injury by focusing on key joints. These routines are designed to increase the range of motion in your hips, build stability in your knees, and improve mobility in your shoulders. These exercises are crucial for executing demanding dance techniques safely.
Strength Building with Props
I incorporate simple props like dumbbells and resistance bands to build functional strength specifically for dancers. These exercises are not about bulking up, but about developing the power needed for explosive movements and the stamina for long rehearsals. You don't need a gym, just a few basic tools.
Yoga, Balance & Fluid Movement
Dance is as much about stillness as it is about motion. I integrate principles from Yoga and fluid movement improvisation to enhance balance, control, and body awareness. These sessions include yoga asanas, balance drills, and creative movement explorations to help you connect deeply with your body.
