About Body Conditioning for Dancers
Why I Do This
Dance is my language, and I know how tough it can be on the body. I started this conditioning program because I wanted dancers to feel strong, pain-free, and actually enjoy moving. When your body’s tuned right, those bols (rhythmic syllables) like 'Ta thei thei tat' just flow. No drama, no struggle.
What Makes My Program Different
This isn’t your regular gym routine. I’ve built it for dancers, keeping in mind what we actually need - not just random fitness. Whether you’re into Bharatanatyam, Kathak, or Contemporary, I focus on:
- core strength for dancers
- dancer injury prevention
- flexibility training for dancers
I mix old-school stuff like Yoga and Kalaripayattu with Pilates and strength training. Sometimes we use dumbbells, resistance bands, or even a mop stick. No fancy gear needed.
What We Work On
- Strong core and healthy spine - so you move with power and avoid back pain
- Strength and stamina - for those endless rehearsals
- Mobility and flexibility - hips, shoulders, ankles, you name it
- Balance and stability - because stillness in motion is magic
More Than Just Exercise
I’m big on mindful movement. It’s not just about sweating - it’s about feeling good, letting go of stress, and connecting with your body. You’ll walk out feeling lighter, maybe even a bit happier.
