Specialized Prenatal Yoga and Athletic Training in Bengaluru
Whether you are navigating the journey of pregnancy or pushing your body’s athletic limits, I offer specialized, prop-based sessions tailored to your unique physical needs.
So proud of my Guruji's son Vivaan, a strong young runner and triathlete. It's a testament to how a consistent yoga practice and a plant-based lifestyle, which I also teach, can build incredible strength and a healing mindset.
Our family's first 10k trail run was an amazing experience. As an athlete and a yogi, I know how important it is to connect with nature and challenge the body in new ways. I bring this understanding to my yoga for athletes sessions.
A look back to 2007, when I was 38 weeks pregnant with my son. I practiced yoga and other mindful movements throughout my pregnancy, and I use this personal experience to guide expecting mothers in my prenatal yoga classes.
Call me if there's an emergency, I might be able to help! My Muay Thai training is a different kind of mindfulness, building strength, discipline, and confidence. This cross-training informs my approach to yoga for athletes.
About this collection
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all routines. If you are expecting, we use ropes, bolsters, and chairs to provide supported traction, keeping your spine and pelvis safe throughout your trimesters. If you are an athlete, we focus on mobility and deep recovery, using Iyengar precision to build resilience in your muscles. It is all about working with your body where it is right now, not against it.
Yoga for Your Specific Phase
My approach is rooted in the Iyengar tradition, which is arguably the most effective system for therapeutic and sports-focused work. Because we prioritize alignment and use props—like walls, ropes, and blocks—we can create modifications that traditional flow classes simply cannot match.
For Expecting Mothers
Pregnancy changes your center of gravity and puts strain on your joints. My prenatal sessions are not about 'exercising'; they are about creating space. We use restorative poses to manage back pain, improve circulation, and help you connect with your breath. You do not need to be an experienced yogi to start. I work with you to adapt every sequence to your current trimester and energy levels.
For Athletes & Runners
I train for trail runs and practice Muay Thai, so I understand the wear and tear competitive movement causes. Athletes often focus on strength, but overlook mobility and recovery. In these sessions, we focus on:
- Joint Decompression: Using rope walls to create space in the hips and shoulders.
- Active Recovery: Learning to breathe through intense sensation rather than bracing against it.
- Injury Prevention: Targeting the small stabilizing muscles that get neglected in standard gym workouts.
Whether you are training for a 10k or just want to recover from a high-intensity week, we will find your sweet spot on the mat. My Lavelle Road studio is equipped with the props we need to make sure you are supported, safe, and challenged. Let’s get you moving with intention.
