Authentic North Indian Flavours in Bangalore
I started Punjabi Rasoi to share the true taste of North India with Bangalore. This is a collection of our most loved dishes, cooked with the same recipes I’ve used since 2000.
This is our legendary Butter Chicken, the dish that defines our kitchen. It is rich, creamy, and cooked with the same authentic recipe since day one. The tender chicken is simmered in a smooth tomato gravy, finished with a touch of cream and butter for that perfect flavour.
This is what makes me happy: seeing a pura parivaar, a whole family, enjoying a meal together at our restaurant. We have always been a place for families to gather, share food, and make memories.
Our Tandoori Chicken is a classic for a reason. We marinate the chicken in a blend of traditional spices and yoghurt, then cook it in the intense heat of a clay tandoor. The result is juicy, smoky, and irresistibly delicious.
Our Malai Kofta is pure comfort in a bowl. We make soft koftas from paneer and potatoes and simmer them in a rich, creamy gravy made with cashews and tomatoes. It is a dish that can turn any day around.
This thali gives you a taste of everything we love about Punjabi food. It is a complete meal with a variety of our best curries, tandoori starters, dal, rice, and bread, offering a little bit of everything and a whole lot of Punjab.
Hello, I am Bharat Dham, the founder of Punjabi Rasoi. I started this place in 2000 with a simple ambition: to bring real North Indian food to Bangalore. I am a cook myself, and I promise that we still use the same recipes and masalas from the very first day.
After a hearty Punjabi meal, nothing is more refreshing than our Mango Lassi. We blend thick, fresh yoghurt with sweet mango pulp to create this classic drink. It is the perfect way to cool down and complete your feast.
We are grateful when our guests share their experiences. Their feedback reminds us why we do what we do. It is an honour to know that our food, service, and atmosphere make for a delightful meal.
About Featured
You might notice our Butter Chicken looks a bit different than the usual orange, overly-sweet versions found elsewhere. We stick to the original recipe I’ve used since 2000—tomato-based, balanced spices, and a touch of cream—because real Punjabi food isn't just about heat; it’s about the depth of flavour in the gravy.
When you walk into any of our 10+ branches across Bangalore, from Sarjapur Road to Indiranagar, you aren't just getting a meal—you are getting the same experience I envisioned decades ago. My kitchen is strictly against fusion or unnecessary experimentation. Whether it’s our Dal Makhani that’s slow-cooked for hours or our Tandoori starters charred in a real clay oven, the goal is simple: ghar ka swaad (the taste of home).
If you are planning a family dinner or just need a solid meal after a long week, you’ll find our atmosphere is noisy, warm, and comfortable. We serve in traditional steel ware because that is how I grew up eating. If you are ordering for a group, I always recommend our platters, which allow you to sample the tandoori starters, rich curries, and our signature stuffed kulchas without the fuss of ordering individual items. We are here for the family gatherings, the casual catch-ups, and the late-night cravings. If you have been looking for a North Indian restaurant in Bangalore that values consistency over everything else, you are at the right place.
Punjabi Rasoi
I’m Bharat Dham, and I run my kitchens just like I did on day one. I don't believe in fancy shortcuts or fusion experiments—just simple, honest ingredients cooked properly for your whole family. Come pull up a chair, it feels just like home.
