Improve your range of motion and release deep-seated tension through controlled, mindful movement tailored to your body's specific needs.

This leg circle exercise on the reformer is fantastic for improving hip mobility and flexibility in the hamstrings. It promotes ease of movement from your body's center.

This elegant side bend, or mermaid stretch, on the reformer is perfect for lengthening the side body and improving spinal flexibility. It's a client favorite for releasing tension.

This deep lunge stretch on the reformer targets the hip flexors and quadriceps. It's an essential movement for anyone looking to improve lower body flexibility and prevent tightness.

A pigeon pose variation on the reformer allows for a deep, supported stretch of the hip rotators and glutes. This is key for improving mobility and relieving lower back tension.

This client is performing an elephant stretch on the reformer, a great way to lengthen the hamstrings and spine while maintaining core control and precision.

Flexibility is freedom. This exercise on the reformer helps improve range of motion in the hips and spine, preventing injuries and keeping you agile.

Pilates helps reduce stiffness throughout the body. This stretch on the Cadillac tower is designed to open up the chest and shoulders while lengthening the spine.

Stretch beyond your limits. This kneeling arm exercise on the reformer not only strengthens the upper body but also challenges your balance and promotes spinal flexibility.

I believe in building strength one stretch at a time. This client is performing a lunge that opens up the hips, a fundamental movement for improving overall mobility.

Your fitness, your way. This client is using the reformer for a controlled arm exercise that also encourages spinal rotation and flexibility.

About Flexibility & Full-Body Mobility

My approach to mobility uses the Merrithew Reformer and Cadillac to guide you through precise movements that target restricted joints, rather than just forcing a deep stretch. We prioritize 'Contrology'—a system where your breath dictates the movement—which safely allows you to access deeper flexibility in your hips, spine, and shoulders without putting undue stress on your body.

Flexibility is about more than just touching your toes. It is about how your body handles daily life, whether that is sitting at a desk for long hours or recovering from a specific injury. In my Hauz Khas studio, I focus on 'functional mobility'—the ability to move through your full range of motion with strength and control.

Why focus on mobility?

Static stretching often misses the mark because it doesn't build the core stability needed to support that new range of motion. My sessions combine stretching with active resistance. By using the Reformer and stability props, we keep your muscles engaged while lengthening them. This prevents injuries and ensures that when you gain flexibility, you keep it.

How we work

  • Joint Decompression: We use the Cadillac and Reformer to gently create space in tight joints, specifically targeting the hips, lower back, and thoracic spine.
  • Breathing & Alignment: Every stretch is synchronized with your breath. This calms the nervous system, which is crucial because a tense mind often leads to a tense body.
  • Personalized Progression: We track your range of motion over time. Whether we are using the foam roller for myofascial release or the stability chair for hip flexor opening, the goal is consistent, measurable progress.

This isn't just about getting flexible; it is about building a body that feels lighter and moves without hesitation. We work through stiffness in the chest, shoulders, and hamstrings, helping you stand taller and move with the grace that Pilates is known for.
