About Our Famous Non-Veg Pickles
When you open one of our non-veg jars, you won't be fishing around for the meat. I pack our pickles with a high protein-to-oil ratio, meaning you get generous, hand-cleaned chunks of chicken, prawn, or pork in every serving—not just flavoured gravy. Everything is made in small batches, so you're always getting the fresh, homemade taste I started with in my own kitchen.
I started Pickle Me with just two of my Ma’s recipes in my home kitchen during the lockdown, and that 'homemade' spirit is still at the heart of everything we do. We don't use any factory shortcuts, artificial colours, or preservatives.
Why our non-veg range is different:
- Real Meat, Not Just Gravy: Whether it's our Chicken Lickin' pickle or our Porky the Pig pork pickle, we focus on substantial meat chunks rather than just spice base.
- Hand-Cleaned Seafood: For my prawn and fish pickles, every piece is de-veined and cleaned by hand. It’s labour intensive, but it makes all the difference in the final taste.
- Small Batches: This is how we keep the flavours bold and consistent without needing artificial enhancers or mock meat.

Most of our pickles have a shelf life of 9–12 months. They don’t need refrigeration while sealed, but I recommend popping them in the fridge once opened to keep that texture perfect.
