About this collection

When you book a performance, you aren't just getting a dancer; you are getting a full production. Whether it's a solo Margam recital or a large group show, we travel with our own live music ensemble—vocalists, mridangam, and violin/flute players—to ensure the rhythm is live, not recorded. It’s physically demanding, yes, but it is the only way to keep the art form breathing on stage.

My performance calendar is a mix of solo Margam recitals, collaborative duets like 'Atah', and large-scale ensemble pieces with the Punyah Dance Company.

What I Bring to the Stage

  • Solo Margam: The core of Bharatanatyam. It is just me, the orchestra, and the audience, exploring complex rhythms and traditional storytelling.
  • Theatrical Productions: Works like 'Abha' (Ramayana retelling) and 'Maya' (Mahabharata) involve 8-12 dancers, cinematic lighting, and custom stage design. These are built for proscenium stages and large venues.
  • Collaborations: I often work with Kathak and Yakshagana artists to blend traditions, creating works that push the boundaries of classical Indian dance.

Logistics and Tech

We handle our own lighting design and stage management to maintain the aesthetic integrity of each show. For touring, we require specific tech checks and a live acoustic setup. I am currently touring extensively across India and internationally, including dates in the USA and Europe. Whether you are an event organizer looking for a featured production or a dance school looking to host an intensive workshop, reach out to discuss the requirements. All performances are supported by my team at Punyah Theatre to ensure everything from the sound check to the final bow is handled with professional precision.
