Nutrition for Young Minds & School Workshops
I bring nutrition education to life in the classroom through interactive games and hands-on activities, helping students build healthy habits they will actually want to keep.
This session at Lotus Valley International School was all about making nutrition exciting. You can see me engaging with Grade II learners, using games and activities to teach the difference between healthy and unhealthy food choices.
This was the official welcome banner for my session on "Mindful Eating, Healthy Living" for young learners. My programs for schools are designed to be educational, empowering, and, most importantly, fun.
Receiving a token of appreciation after my guest speaker session at Lotus Valley International School. It was a pleasure to work with the school to help nourish young minds with healthy habits.
About this collection
The biggest challenge in school nutrition is keeping kids engaged. In my sessions, we don't just talk about health—we play. I use a 'Red vs. Green Card' game to help students instantly differentiate between junk food and real fuel, alongside live, no-fire sandwich making demos. By the time I leave, they aren't just listening to a lecture; they are already asking the right questions about what goes into their own tiffins.
Building Healthier Habits Early
Many schools struggle to teach nutrition in a way that resonates with children. My approach avoids long lectures and confusing diet charts. Instead, I focus on 'Nutrition for Young Minds'—a program tailored to make the link between food and energy easy to understand, even for grades 1 through 8.
Why Interactive Learning Works
- Gamified Nutrition: Through activities like my red/green card voting system, children learn to categorize their own food choices without feeling restricted.
- Live Demos: I teach children how to assemble healthy, tasty snacks using basic ingredients, showing them that 'healthy' does not have to mean 'boring.'
- Real-World Application: We break down concepts like energy for sports, lunchbox logic, and why hygiene matters, using language that kids can apply to their daily lives.
What Schools Can Expect
I offer a structured, 60-minute session that is perfect for school assemblies or classroom workshops. Whether we are discussing the impact of hidden sugars or how to make a balanced sandwich, the content is adjusted for the age group.
Key takeaways for your students:
- A clear understanding of how to fuel their bodies for growth and school performance.
- Practical tips for identifying processed versus real food.
- Resource sheets and coloring activities to reinforce lessons at home.
I am available for speaking engagements across the Delhi NCR region and beyond. Let’s collaborate to turn your school's health program into a fun, engaging highlight of the academic year.
