Hands-On STEM Workshops & Lab Experience

We are a team of curious tinkerers in Indiranagar who think learning should be a little messy and a lot of fun. From 3D printing to creative coding, this is a look at what happens when you bring STEM out of the textbook and into the real world.

We believe the best way to learn is by getting your hands messy! Here, we're guiding a group of curious kids through a marble art experiment during a field trip to our lab. It's moments like these, full of focus and discovery, that are at the heart of everything we do.

Hello hello! Ever wanted to see your ideas come to life? Our Intro to 3D Printing workshop is the perfect place to start. We'll show you how to design a model on software and watch as the 3D printer builds it layer by layer.

The magic moment when a circuit works! These students are proudly showing off the light-up cards they made during a paper circuits experiment. This is one of our favorite ways to introduce electronics because the result is instant, visual, and so rewarding.

Hey everyone, Mathura here. I wanted to share a little bit about why we started Paper Crane Lab. We believe that mixing STEM with art makes learning more experimental and fun, creating a space where it's okay to make mistakes and be curious.

Ready to learn a new skill? Our introductory soldering workshop is a fun, hands-on way to get started with electronics. You'll learn to safely use a soldering iron and create your own glowing LED sculptures to take home.

This is what happens when art meets code. In our creative coding classes, students use p5.js to create stunning generative art like this. It's a fantastic way to learn programming concepts through visual expression.

A huge smile and a group selfie to remember a fantastic day! We were so happy to host a wonderful group of kids from the Hasiru Dala and Buguri Libraries for a day of science experiments and tech demos at our lab.

About this collection

Forget sitting through long, dry lectures. Whether you are soldering your first LED sculpture or designing a model for our 3D printers, you are in the driver's seat. We keep our student-to-mentor ratio low, around 6:1, so you actually get the guidance you need to figure out why your project isn't working—and more importantly, how to fix it.

Paper Crane Lab isn't a typical classroom; it is a space where we mess up, fix it, and learn in the process. We mix high-tech tools like laser cutters and 3D printers with good old-fashioned paper and glue. If you have been wanting to learn electronics without feeling like you are back in school, you are in the right place. Our workshops, like Intro to Electronics or 3D Printing for Beginners, are designed to be tangible. You walk in with an idea, and you walk out with a physical project—a Doodle Bot, a light-up badge, or a laser-cut creation. We are open to everyone from kids to adults, because curiosity does not have an age limit. Whether you are a complete beginner who has never touched a soldering iron or someone looking to refine your 3D design skills, our lab in Indiranagar is open. Come by for a Wednesday evening session or a weekend camp, and let us make something cool together.
