Featured STEM Workshops and Maker Projects
At Little Wings, we believe innovation starts with doing, not just watching. Get a glimpse into our North Bangalore maker space where kids build, code, and create with real tools.
Safety is our top priority as we guide young innovators in using real tools. Here, a camper learns to handle a jigsaw with one-on-one supervision to bring their wooden creation to life.
We love seeing the pride on a camper's face after they have built and programmed their own line-following robot. This project combines electronics, coding, and problem-solving to navigate a course independently.
3, 2, 1, liftoff! We teach the principles of physics and air pressure in the most exciting way possible with our stomp rocketry workshop, where every child gets to build and launch their own rocket.
We bring the cosmos into the classroom as kids build and paint their own solar system models. It is a fantastic way to blend art with astronomy, making learning about planets a memorable, hands-on experience.
It is not just about building, it is about testing your creation. Here, our campers race the sail cars they engineered, learning firsthand about wind energy and aerodynamics in a fun, competitive setting.
We empower kids by teaching them how to safely use real woodworking tools. Under close supervision, they learn skills like sanding and drilling, which builds their confidence and engineering abilities.
Nothing beats the smile of accomplishment! At the end of our camps, every child receives a certificate and gets to take home all the amazing projects they have built, from birdhouses to catapults.
About this collection
One thing parents often ask is how we handle real tools with younger kids. We don't just talk about engineering; your child will actually use C-clamps, small hammers, and jigsaws under our close, one-on-one supervision. Whether it's building a birdhouse or wiring a circuit, every child walks out with their own finished project in hand, not just a certificate.
A Maker Space, Not a Classroom
We built Little Wings to be the space I wish I had growing up—a place to break, fix, and rebuild. Our workshops are designed for ages 4–14, focusing on tactile learning across four core disciplines:
- Robotics & Electronics: Moving beyond theory, kids work with sensors, LDR modules, and breadboards to build real automated systems like street lights or line-following robots.
- Woodworking: Using real tools like jigsaws and drills, campers learn structural building, sanding, and measuring while creating functional items like birdhouses and catapults.
- Aeromodelling: We cover the physics of flight through hands-on construction, building stomp rockets, chuck gliders, and fighter jet models.
- Science & Art: We blend creativity with logic. Kids explore optics through kaleidoscopes, or astronomy by building solar system models and weaving projects.
Why Our Approach Works
We keep our batches small (8-12 children). This ensures that whether your child is quiet or naturally curious, they get the attention they need to handle tools safely and understand the 'why' behind the project. Our goal isn't to lecture; it's to provide that initial push—those 'little wings'—so they feel confident enough to keep exploring their ideas at home.
Little Wings Innovation Labs
I’m Rahul, and I started Little Wings with my friend Daniel because I was the kid who needed to take things apart to see how they worked. We built this space so your child can do the same—messing around with real tools and coding robots instead of sitting through boring lectures.
