Peek inside Paper Crane Lab in Indiranagar and get to know the curious, maker-obsessed team running our hands-on workshops.

Who is PCL? In this video, I introduce our core team and our amazing network of on-call facilitators who make our diverse programs possible. We're a group of curious enthu cutlets who love to make, teach, and learn.

What do we do at PCL? I talk about our journey, from creating an accessible online curriculum during COVID to starting our physical makerspace in Bangalore. Our work is split between outreach programs and our lab.

What does a day at PCL look like? It's always different! Some days are for prototyping, others for teaching, and many involve a ton of emails and writing. This video gives you a little glimpse into our organized chaos.

Here's a 90-second look at a typical day at our lab. It involves everything from checking on our musical plants and answering emails to laser-cutting prototypes and fixing broken toys.

Come on in for a quick tour of our lab! I'll show you some of the cool things you can find here, like our magnetic tessellation wall, a pop-up planetarium book, and our laser-engraved cutting board.

Himadri from our team explains what our workshops are all about. We use the cool equipment in our lab to make fun, creative projects that are open to all age groups.

The walls of our lab are adorned with creations from our workshop participants. This large piece of art was made by the doodle bots from one of our electronics workshops.

Our newest corner at the lab is a wall of postcards from our collection and from various creators around the world. It's a little celebration of the art and design that inspires us.

A throwback to when our "office" was just a well-decorated corner in my house! It's amazing to see how far we've come.

Our lab in Indiranagar isn't a sterile classroom; it is a mix of 3D printers, laser cutters, and bits of old toys we are currently fixing. When you drop by, you are not just visiting a facility, you are stepping into our workspace where we build, break, and rebuild together. We keep our groups small so you get actual help, not just a set of instructions.

I often wonder what would happen if kids grew up not just using things, but truly understanding them. I think they would see a world full of possibilities, where "waste" is just a starting point for a new creation.
This is what it's all about. When I see a child confidently pick up a real wrench to fix their own bicycle, I know we're doing something right. It's about building the confidence to try, not just building the project itself.

In our TechTinker Lab, students get to build and program robots from scratch. This hands-on experience makes complex concepts in robotics and coding accessible and exciting.21
From toys and keychains to useful gadgets, students in our TechTinker Lab learn to 3D print their own ideas, bringing digital designs into the physical world.
Learning to code becomes a fun, interactive project in our TechTinker Lab. Students work together on projects that build foundational programming skills in an engaging way.
