About this collection
If you are curious about what actually happens inside a makerspace, our Open Houses are the best place to start. You will get a guided tour of our Indiranagar lab, see our 3D printers and laser cutters in action, and even get hands-on with mechanical calculators. It is low-pressure, high-fun, and the easiest way to see if our space is the right fit for your next project.
Why Join Our Community Events?
We believe that learning shouldn't happen in isolation. That is why we host these events—to bring together people who share a common curiosity for science, tech, and art. We want our lab in Indiranagar to feel like a second home, not a rigid classroom.
What You Can Expect
- Sci-Tech Quizzes: These are not your typical textbook quizzes. We mix 4-5 rounds of PPT-based challenges with plenty of puns and, of course, cool PCL goodies for the winning teams. We keep team sizes small (usually up to 2 members) to ensure everyone has a fair shot.
- STEM Reading Clubs: A space to slow down. We provide a collection of fascinating books on nature, tech, and design, along with hot chocolate. No homework, no grades, just great conversations about cool concepts.
- Open Houses: These are our favorite days. We open up the lab for tours and demos. You will see how we use vinyl cutters and 3D printers, and often we have small, impromptu activities like making light-up cards. It is an open invitation for anyone aged 10 and above to explore.
Practical Details
Most of our events take place on weekends, and because our Indiranagar space is cozy, we usually limit capacity to keep things comfortable. We always recommend registering via our link in bio early. If you are ever unsure about whether an event is suitable for your skill level, just reach out—we love answering questions and helping you get started.
Paper Crane Lab
We are Mathura and the team at Paper Crane Lab—a bunch of 'enthu cutlets' who believe learning should be messy and fun. We built this Indiranagar space to be a chaotic, welcoming home for anyone who wants to build, tinker, and geek out over science.
