Vinyl & Merchandise Fabrication Workshop
Equipment & Software
- Machinery: Exclusive access to Vinyl Plotters/Cutters and industrial Heat Press stations.
- Software: Crash course on vector design basics to create logos or team mascots.
- Consumables: High-quality adhesive vinyl sheets (various colors), transfer tape, and weeding tools provided for every table.
Merchandise (Choose One)
- Option A: One Standard Ceramic Coffee Mug (325ml, White) per person.
- Option B: One Cotton-Polyester Blend T-Shirt per person (Requires sizing data beforehand).
Logistics
- Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Takeaway: Participants take home their finished product immediately.
- Staffing: 2 technical facilitators to guide software usage and physical application.
- Location: Available at the Indiranagar Maker Lab or at Client Office (requires large tables and power outlets).
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Challenge
The Maker Kit
- Electronics: DC Hobby Motors, battery casings, AA batteries, switches, wires, and soldering materials.
- Structure: Laser-cut MDF bases, upcycled materials (cups, cardboard), and decoration supplies.
- Tools: Shared access to wire strippers, insulation tape, and soldering irons.
Workshop Flow
- Theory: 20-minute primer on voltage, current, and motor mechanics.
- Build: Guided assembly where participants troubleshoot their own connections.
- Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours.
The Finale
- Competition: A "Battle of the Bots" on a canvas or efficiency testing for torches.
- Support: High staff ratio (approx 1 lead + 1 support per 15 pax) for technical debugging.
Smartphone Stop Motion Animation
Production Kit
- Props: Non-drying modelling clay, articulated paper puppets, and LEGO bricks.
- Set Design: Chart papers, scissors, glue, and construction paper.
- Hardware: DIY "Mini-Studio" light diffuser boxes and rigid phone mounts/tripods.
The Process
- Phases: Storyboarding, Character Creation, Shooting, and Editing.
- Technology: Utilization of participants' own smartphones with guidance on industry-standard apps (e.g., Stop Motion Studio).
- Duration: 3 hours.
Output
- Deliverable: A 15-30 second high-frame-rate video file per team.
- Screening: Final films are screened at the end of the session.

At Paper Crane Lab, we’re all about getting our hands dirty, making mistakes, and laughing through it. My whole thing is - tech and art are for everyone. My Story
Hey! We’re Paper Crane Lab, a bunch of enthu cutlets (super excited folks) who love tinkering, teaching, and messing around with new ideas. Started during COVID, we kicked off with 'Science with Paper' so kids could learn with simple stuff. Now, our Bangalore maker space is all about letting you experiment, fail, try again, and mix tech with art. Half NGO, half wild lab – we’re here for the messy, fun side of learning.
My Work
Hands-on Workshops & Clubs - We run workshops in 3D printing for beginners, coding, electronics, art, baking, and more. After-school clubs too.
Maker Space Access - Our lab in Indiranagar has tools like 3D printers, laser cutter, and woodworking gear. Come tinker or join a session.
STEM Outreach & Teacher Training - We’re an NGO at heart, doing project-based STEM learning in schools and training teachers. Profits fund outreach.
