About Karate Programs for Schools & Communities
I’ve been teaching karate since 1992, always holding onto one thing - discipline builds better habits, and good habits stick for life. For me, karate’s not just about kicks and punches. It’s about helping people, especially kids, find confidence and focus, whether they’re in a busy school or just hanging out in their apartment community.
Why I Come to You
Time is precious, so I bring traditional Okinawan karate right to your doorstep. For years, I've run community martial arts classes in schools and apartments, so nobody has to travel far or feel out of place. I’ve seen firsthand how a school karate enrichment program or a weekend class in your building can make everyone feel more connected and healthier.
What My Programs Look Like
- After-school karate sessions at schools keep things structured and fun, letting kids burn energy and learn discipline without leaving the campus.
- In apartment complexes, I set up in clubhouses or courtyards so both kids and adults can join in, no fuss.
- My lessons stick to the roots: stances, kata (those set forms everyone’s seen in movies), sparring, and even a bit of kobudo (traditional weapons, but don’t worry, it’s safe and supervised).
- I run practical self-defense workshops too - more about staying smart than fighting.
I always keep it real - learning karate takes effort and patience, but it’s worth it. I’ve built this on what I learned from Okinawa, and I teach with the same respect and humility. If you value tradition and real growth, you’ll feel at home in my classes.

My Story
Started back in 1992 with just 14 folks, now we’re teaching 50,000+ every year—pretty wild, right? All thanks to our students, teachers, and supporters. My Okinawa teachers shaped everything I know. We keep going back there, always learning. Got my Kyoshi Nanadan (7th Dan) recently, which is huge for me. For us, karate isn’t just sport—it’s about making people strong and safe. Like Sensei Nagamine said, 'Mada tarinu. Kitae konashite.' (It’s still not enough. Train hard.) That’s our vibe.
