About Karate Classes for Kids
What We’re About
At OSK Academy, karate isn’t just a hobby for your child - it’s a way to grow. I’ve spent decades teaching Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate, and I see every class as a chance for kids to build confidence and learn real self-defense. This is proper martial arts, not just playtime.
How Kids Change Here
- Confidence goes up, especially when they tackle new moves or tough drills.
- Discipline and focus become habits - not just in the dojo, but at home and school too.
- We teach practical self-defense, so your child knows what to do if needed.
- Classes are active, fun, and push for better fitness, strength, and flexibility.
Our Style of Training
Curriculum is a mix of tradition and sport. Kids learn kata (classic forms), kumite (safe karate sparring for kids with gear), and agility drills. I keep it strict, but also supportive and lively - shouting “Kiai!” and letting kids feel that rush.
- Belt progression is clear - every kid starts as a white belt, aiming for black. We run proper grading exams so they earn their next level honestly.
- Summer camps get intense, with sessions on karate, weapons, and even some acrobatics.
- Those keen on competition get prepped for inter-school and national events.
Who Can Join
We welcome boys and girls from age 4 up. There are special batches for tiny tots too. Weekday and weekend options make it easy for parents. If you want your kid to experience karate for self-esteem in children or just a solid after-school karate program for kids, this is it.

My Story
Hey, we’re OSK Academy. Been at this karate game for 30+ years, but every day’s fresh. Our chief, Renshi Sajesh, just got WKF coach creds in UAE - big deal for us! Nothing beats seeing a little one go from shy to bold, or handing out a new belt. Gold medals? Sure, but it’s all about Team OSK, every student matters, no matter their age or skill.
My Work

Our Way - It’s not just fighting. Discipline, respect, confidence - that’s our thing. Safe, supportive vibe always.
