About Karate Training
I see karate as more than just kicks and punches - it’s a way of living. Oss. For me, self-defense isn’t only about protecting yourself in a fight. It’s about building habits, discipline, and confidence that stick with you in life. I always say, you don’t need a weapon because you already are one.
Training Approach
I teach Okinawa Karate Do Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai. My classes cover the basics like stances, punches, and kicks, then move to kata (forms), kumite (sparring), and even some Kobudo (weapon techniques like nunchaku). Doesn’t matter if you’re a total beginner or have a black belt - everyone trains together. Each student gets personal attention, especially kids and newcomers. Kids karate classes are a big part of my week.
Mindset & Method
I believe “practice make man perfect.” We repeat every move - kicks, punches, blocks - till your body acts on its own. Kiai! Hard conditioning drills build strength, but it’s the mindset that matters. I focus on karate muscle memory drills so you gain real confidence, not just in the dojo.
Going Further
If you want to push yourself, I offer karate competition training for students who dream of medals at state, national, or even international levels. Some of my students have proudly represented India. Winning is good, but the discipline and spirit matter more.
Anyone can join - bachche, adults, total newbies, or pros. You’ll find a place here.

My Story
Oss. I’m GD Sharma, and for me, karate’s not just kicks and punches, it’s life itself. I always tell my students, 'I don’t need a weapon. I am one.' My pride? Watching my students train hard and win – like when our Shorin Kai team went to Dubai and brought home a pile of medals. That moment, seeing India become champion, was something else. Spirit’s what matters, more than anything. Oss.
