About Martial Arts & Self-Defense
What Drives Me
I started from nothing. Zero’nnanu thudangiyath (I started from zero), so I know what it’s like to feel weak and still get back up. That’s what I teach here - spirit first, technique second. I don’t care if you’re a total beginner or someone who’s tried before and failed. If you’ve got chankootam (guts), we’ll make it work.
Beyond Punches & Kicks
Martial arts for me is way more than just fighting. It’s about discipline, mental resilience, and self-respect. Real strength is about handling life, not just opponents in the dojo. You’ll learn to be focused, confident, and humble.
- Discipline and focus, not just muscle
- Self-confidence that lasts outside the mat
- Mental toughness to face anything
- Respect for yourself and others
How We Train
Kids, adults, total newbies, everyone’s welcome. I run "Little Champs" batches for kids and regular ones for adults.
- Shotokan karate basics: From stances to sparring with belt progress as your milestones.
- Kalaripayattu training: Fluid moves, old-school Indian style, with traditional weapon skills too.
- Self-defense for kids & adults: Not just for the ring, this is about handling real-life trouble. We keep it practical and teach you to avoid fights, but namukoru pani vanna, nammalath paniyum (if trouble comes, we fight back).
Competitive & Real
My students train hard and compete at state and national levels. The medals are proof, but I care more about building warriors who can handle life.
The Crew
When you join, you’re not just another face. You’re part of our family. We push each other, celebrate wins, and pick each other up after losses.
