The process of learning a handstand is about more than just the skill itself; it's about overcoming fear and trusting the process. I provide hands-on support to guide young athletes, helping them build the strength and stability to hold it on their own.
About Gymnastics and Bodyweight Skills
I don't just tell you to 'kick up and hold' the wall. We build the frame first. Whether you are learning your first handstand or refining your control, we spend time on the basics—shoulder stability, midline tension, and learning how to fall safely—so that when you finally hold it, you are doing it with total control, not just luck.
Building from the Ground Up
Gymnastics is often misunderstood as just flips and tricks. In my classes, it is the foundation of everything else we do. If you cannot control your own body weight, you have no business touching a barbell.
We start with the fundamentals:
- Core Stability: Developing the midline tension required to hold shapes, whether in a plank or a hollow body hold.
- Shoulder Mechanics: Teaching you how to press through the floor, a crucial skill for handstands, push-ups, and overhead lifting.
- Safe Progression: We never throw you into the deep end. We use scales that allow you to work at your current capacity, ensuring you don't get frustrated or injured while chasing a skill.
Why it Matters
When you improve your gymnastics capacity, you aren't just getting better at handstands. You are becoming a more efficient athlete overall. A stronger core and better balance mean your deadlifts get safer, your runs get more efficient, and your body awareness improves in daily life.
The 'Once More' Approach
My coaching style is direct—some might say a bit army-style. I avoid the 'verbal diarrhea of cues' because it confuses you more than it helps. I will watch you move, identify the one thing you need to fix, and we will work on that until it is right. We celebrate the wins here—the first unassisted handstand, the first full push-up—but we earn them through consistent, patient work. Our facility in K. Narayanapura is built for this, with professional shock-absorbing flooring and teen-scaled equipment designed to keep you safe while you push your limits.
