About Bharatanatyam Performance & Choreography Services
What Sets Us Apart
When we step on stage, it’s not just another dance number. For us at Nrithyakuteera, it’s family - my makla (kids) and I live for that energy. We’ve grown together, laughed, sometimes cried backstage, and that shows in every performance. If you invite us, you’ll see that vibe, not just a group Bharatanatyam stage show.
Performances for Every Occasion
We’ve danced everywhere - temple courtyards, grand festivals, small family halls, even on the middle of bustling streets. Our group brings that full-on synchronized energy, whether it’s a 5-person team or 200 dancers. You want something intimate? My seniors and I do solo or duet recitals, including for special moments like a student’s Rangapravesha.
Custom Choreography & Thematic Work
Got a story or a theme? I love making something new. We’ve done mythological stories like the Ramayana, devotional pieces, and even folk-style numbers. If you have a unique song or a vision, I’ll work with you to create a thematic Bharatanatyam choreography that fits right in.
Authentic Bharatanatyam, No Shortcuts
I handle the Nattuvangam (that’s the cymbal and rhythm part) myself most times – especially when we do live recitals. We stick to traditional costumes, proper temple jewellery, and yes, I’m a bit strict about adavus (steps). But honestly, it’s the whole experience that matters to us, not just the perfection.
Our Journey, In Short
From Bengaluru Karaga to Udupi Sri Krishna Matha, big auditoriums and street processions, we’ve seen a lot. Every stage is special to us. If you want a traditional temple dance performance or something new, let’s make it happen together.

My Story
More than 23 years since my own Rangapravesha, and dance is still my heartbeat. I owe my journey to my gurus and family. My biggest pride? My makla – my students, my crazy gang. Our dance class is home, where we work hard, goof around, make reels, trek, and celebrate like one big NK family. Seniors are akka, and everyone belongs. Off stage, I’m all for simple joys – a rain shower, hot jola, and time with my dumma. Male + jola = swarga, always.
My Work
Bharatanatyam Classes & Choreography - I teach all levels, from basics to Vidwath. I also do Bharatanatyam choreography for performances.
Gejjepuje & Rangapravesha Prep - I help students get ready for Gejjepuje and Rangapravesha, guiding through every step.
Nattuvangam & Performance - I offer nattuvangam training and also perform as a dancer at various events.
Nrithyakuteera Family - This is more than a class – it’s a performing arts family. We celebrate, support, and grow together.
Teaching Style - Strong basics, dedication, and respect. We work hard, but laughter and fun are always part of the journey.
