A gentle, guided space for expecting mothers. We use props and focused asanas to prepare your body for labor, moving slow and steady to support you and your baby.

I've designed this sequence of five essential asanas specifically to help prepare your body for labor. In my prenatal classes, we focus on safe, guided movements like Baddhakonasana for hip opening and Malasana for pelvic floor strength, ensuring you feel confident and connected to your body throughout your pregnancy.

About Maternity Yoga: A Safe Journey to Motherhood

In my prenatal sessions, we don't just stretch. We use bolsters for elevation and wall ropes for spinal traction, ensuring your back and pelvic floor get the support they need without over-straining. It is about careful alignment that keeps you and your baby safe while you build the strength required for labor.

A Safe, Supported Journey

Pregnancy changes your center of gravity and your physical needs. At my studio in Azad Nagar, Shahdara, we treat maternity yoga as a therapeutic process rather than a fitness routine. We limit group sizes to 4-6 participants, which allows me to provide hands-on posture correction and ensure you aren't pushing too hard.

Why We Use Props

When you are pregnant, flexibility can fluctuate, and certain movements might feel uncomfortable or risky. That is why we rely on props like bolsters, blocks, and wall ropes. For example, using a bolster during Baddhakonasana (Butterfly Pose) provides pelvic support, while wall ropes allow for spinal traction that relieves lower back pressure without putting weight on your abdomen.

Focus Areas for Labor Prep

Our sessions are specifically structured to prepare your body for the physical demands of delivery:

  • Pelvic Floor Health: We practice targeted drills like Malasana to build strength and endurance in the pelvic region.
  • Hip Mobility: Exercises like Cat-Cow variations and Hanumanasana adaptations are used to reduce stiffness and improve hip flexibility.
  • Breathwork: Pranayama techniques are integrated into every class to help you manage anxiety and connect with your breath, which is vital during labor.

We do not believe in shortcuts or quick fixes. Whether you are in your first or third trimester, we adapt the practice to meet your current energy levels. You will walk out feeling physically supported and mentally lighter.
