Yoga is not always about intensity. Sometimes, it is about stillness and healing. Join us in Shahdara for sessions that prioritize slow, prop-supported recovery for your body and mind.

Here, a student practices Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) while in a supported reclining pose. This combination of pranayama and restorative yoga is incredibly effective for calming the nervous system and reducing anxiety.

A view of our therapy yoga class, where each student is comfortably settled into a supported restorative pose. We ensure everyone has the right props to allow their body to completely let go and relax.

This close-up shows a student practicing pranayama while her body is fully supported by bolsters and blocks. This practice is excellent for managing stress and improving respiratory function.

In this supported Baddhakonasana (Bound Angle Pose), a strap helps gently open the hips while the bolster supports the spine. This is a wonderful pose for releasing tension in the lower body.

Our class practices Brahmari Pranayama, or Humming Bee Breath. The gentle vibration created by the humming sound is deeply calming for the mind and is known to relieve stress and improve concentration.

Students of all ages and abilities can benefit from the calming effects of pranayama. We create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate in these healing breathing exercises.

During a special Yin Yoga session, our members practice deep, restorative stretches. We use props extensively to help everyone find stillness and release stress, embodying the session's theme of finding freedom.

About Restorative & Therapy Yoga: Gentle Healing & Relaxation

In our therapy sessions, we don't ask you to push your limits. We use bolsters, blocks, and wall ropes to create 'passive' poses. You simply settle into position while the props support your spine and joints, letting your nervous system shift from a state of stress to 'rest and digest'. Whether you are dealing with chronic back pain, a frozen shoulder, or just the weight of daily stress, these props ensure you can hold the pose without strain, allowing your body to open up at its own pace.
