About Volleyball Coaching
Volleyball is My Life
I’m Naveen Kumar Shetty, but most people call me Naveen anna. Volleyball is my world. I’ve played for the Karnataka State Police team, and even now at 43, you’ll find me on the court, chasing that ball. I believe a ball can change everything, and I live by the idea: try, fail, try again, fail better.
My Coaching Style: Tough Love & Real Discipline
Frank-aag helbeku andre (if I’m honest), I scold more than I teach. Discipline is what builds champions. I push you hard, but also give you josh (energy) to keep moving forward. My sessions aren’t just about running volleyball training drills - it’s about unlocking your own best game.
Who Can Join
I coach everyone - absolute beginners, kids, teens, adults, university and corporate teams. Whether you’re just starting out or chasing a national title, you’re welcome.
- For newcomers, I run youth volleyball camps where you learn the basics, ball handling, and get into physical fitness.
- For advanced players, I offer position-specific volleyball coaching and prep for big tournaments. My track record: Karnataka Junior Boys - Silver at Nationals, university teams like REVA and PES, Bangalore City Police.
What Happens in My Sessions
- Basics drilled every time - strong foundation is everything.
- Serious fitness - tumba (very) important. Expect tough warm-ups, agility, and volleyball fitness programs.
- Skill training: attacking, blocking, passing, setting, with special focus for positions like Libero.
- High-intensity practice - always. The game feels easy when training is hard.
If you’re ready to work, stay positive, and never give up, let’s hit the court.

My Story
Volleyball is my world, seriously. Senior National Player, SAI NIS coach, referee, and yeah, I’m with Karnataka State Police too. Won gold at Karnataka State Olympics, silver as a coach with U18 boys, and a 'Best Setter' award in Pune. My students call me 'Naveen anna,' always laughing that I scold more than teach - 'kalisiddikinta baididde jaasti.' Still playing at 43, still learning. Chess calms me down. Simple motto: work hard, never give up.
My Work
Volleyball Coaching & Referee Services - I coach all levels, from volleyball summer camps for kids to university teams. Also referee matches.
Direct, Discipline-Focused Training - My style is tough and hands-on. I believe in pushing limits and mental strength training for athletes.
Anyone Can Join - I train boys, girls, sub-juniors, seniors - beginners to pros. All are welcome.
Real Match Experience - I’m still on the court, not just on the sidelines. Practical, game intelligence development from my own journey.
