About this collection
Frankly, I scold more than I teach, but that’s because winning is rarely an accident. When I take on a team, whether it’s for a university tournament or a state-level championship, we don't just focus on the standard basics. We focus on game intelligence—training the brain to know where the ball is going before it even leaves the opponent's hand.
Building a Winning Mindset
I believe the game feels easy when the training is hard. My coaching isn't for those who want a casual knock-around. My sessions—whether at the Kittur Rani Chennamma Stadium or university grounds across Bengaluru—are about getting that 'josh' back into your game.
What Competitive Training Looks Like:
- Tactical Drills: We go beyond the basics. We look at rotation management, setter-attacker timing, and reading the opponent's defense.
- Mental Conditioning: Physical strength gets you to the court, but mental strength wins the set. I push my players to stay positive even when trailing.
- Game Simulations: We run full-court scrimmages under pressure. This is where we break down what worked and what didn't in real-time.
My Coaching Track Record
I am proud to have coached teams like Reva University, PESIT, and the Agri University squad—all of whom have tasted success at the All India Championship and state levels. I don't just stand on the sidelines; I am still on the court, playing and learning at 43. My experience as a Senior National player allows me to guide my students through the actual pressures of tournament play.
Whether you are looking to represent your college or qualify for a state-level trial, you need more than just fitness. You need a system. If you are ready to work, I am ready to coach.
Naveen Kumar Shetty
I’m Naveen Shetty, but most of my players just call me Naveen Anna. I’ve lived volleyball for decades—from the Police team to coaching national-level winners—and I bring that same intensity to every training session. If you want to stop just playing and start winning, let's talk.
