Foundation Batch (3 Days/Week)
Batch Structure
- Frequency: 3 days per week (Alternate days).
- Duration: 60 to 90 minutes per session.
- Group Size: 10 to 15 players per court.
Training Scope
- Basics: Grip correction, swing mechanics, and service techniques.
- Footwork: Center-court return, chassis steps, and lunges.
- Drills: Shadow practice and static feeding drills.
Facilities & Equipment
- Shuttles: Nylon/Plastic shuttles (e.g., Mavis 350) provided.
- Flooring: Synthetic mats over wooden base.
- Venue: High-ceiling indoor stadium (Non-AC).
Competitive Performance Training (6 Days/Week)
Training Intensity
- Frequency: 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday).
- Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours daily (Evening slots).
- Coaching: Direct oversight by NIS Certified Head Coach.
Advanced Drills
- Shuttles: Feather shuttles provided for all drills.
- Technique: Multi-shuttle feeding (20 to 30 shuttles per set) for smash kills and defense.
- Simulation: Full-court singles and doubles match practice.
Fitness & Conditioning
- Strength: Weight training for wrist and forearm power.
- Endurance: Outdoor track running and stair drills.
- Agility: Hurdle jumps and reaction sprints.
1-on-1 Elite Private Coaching
Session Focus
- Ratio: 1 Coach : 1 Player (Private Court Usage).
- Coach: Exclusive time with Head Coach A.K. Shandilya.
- Correction: Detailed biomechanical analysis of arm rotation and wrist movement.
Tactical & Drills
- Feeding: Continuous multi-shuttle feeding for maximum contact time.
- Strategy: Game reading, anticipation, and tournament tactics.
- Equipment: Premium Feather Shuttles included.
About Badminton Coaching
What I Do
Badminton is my life. I’m NS-NIS certified, BWF Level 1, and I believe every minute on the court counts. My coaching is for anyone who wants to play - whether you’re just starting out, trying to up your game, or prepping for big tournaments. Kids, adults, families - sab ke liye hai (it’s for everyone).
Training Approach
My style is direct and hands-on. We use multi-shuttle badminton drills to push speed and stamina. I tell my players, ek second, maaro (wait a second, then hit) - it’s about control, not just hitting hard. Technique matters a lot, so we spend time on badminton footwork technique, wrist flexibility, and real match rallies. Both group classes and personal badminton coach sessions are available, depending on how much focus you want.
Beyond Just Playing
Badminton needs fitness, not just skill. On-court strength training with dumbbells, sprints, even hurdles is regular here. We mix in group yoga for balance and mental strength. I’m not going to lie - training is tough, but you’ll see the results.
Where We Train
All sessions are at AKS Badminton Academy, Mayur Vihar Phase-III. Four international courts, both wooden and synthetic, indoor and well-lit. No weather excuses.

Some of my proudest moments - training Malvika Bansod (national player, international titles), Delhi state medal winners, and Eshaan Duggal (Delhi runner-up). My students work hard and it shows.

Namaste, I’m A.K. Shandilya. Badminton is not just my job, it’s my jaan (life). I’m NS-NIS and BWF level 1 certified, but what really matters is seeing my students win medals—feels like I’m winning too. We’re not just a coaching class, we’re the AKS Team, like a family. Teacher’s day, Diwali, New Year—we celebrate together. Discipline and hard work, that’s my mantra. One step at a time, that’s how champs are made.
