About Featured

Every performance I curate begins with a single question: what mood do we need to build? Whether it is the quiet concentration required for a sunrise raga or the electric energy of a fusion set with tabla and drums, I tailor the sound to the space. You will see this flexibility in my work, from temple recitals to global festival stages, and it is how I ensure the music lands exactly where it should.

My musical journey is defined by the balance between the disciplined heritage of Hindustani classical music and the creative freedom of the modern stage. This collection highlights the diverse formats I offer, ensuring that whether you are hosting a traditional ceremony or a contemporary corporate event, the sound is authentic.

The Performance Experience

  • Traditional Recitals: These are the backbone of my work. I perform Hindustani classical ragas—such as Raag Bihag or Bhairavi—adhering to the prahar (time-of-day) traditions. These sets are meditative, structured, and ideal for intimate gatherings or morning concerts.
  • Bhakti & Devotional: Music is a form of prayer. For pujas, weddings, or temple events, I focus on bhakti sangeet, including soulful renditions of bhajans, aartis, and Sufi qawwalis. The goal here is to create a healing, spiritual atmosphere that invites the audience to participate.
  • Fusion & Ensemble: When the energy needs to be higher, I move into my fusion sets. By blending the sitar with tabla, flute, and Western instruments like drums or keys, we create a fresh sound that bridges the gap between old-world melodies and modern rhythms. This is perfect for galas, festivals, and cocktail events.

Why the Context Matters

I believe the venue and the audience define the music. When I play at a temple in Varanasi, the approach is vastly different from a jazz-fusion festival in Switzerland. I use high-grade Rikhi Ram instruments for optimal resonance and ensure the technical setup is sound-checked to maintain acoustic clarity. Whether you are looking for a solo sitar performance or a full band ensemble, I am here to discuss how we can bring the right melody to your occasion.
