For a truly grand occasion, I bring my full Sitar Symphony ensemble. Here we are at a large wedding, creating a rich, layered sound with multiple sitars, tabla, and flute that fills the entire hall with music.
Music and nature have a deep connection. I had a beautiful time playing a sitar jugalbandi with my student Arjun by the serene waters in Munnar, Kerala. We travel to play wherever people want to listen.
There is a special energy in a jugalbandi. This was a beautiful outdoor evening show in Bengaluru, where I performed with my brother Puttaraj on tabla and my friend Vishwanath on flute.
Our Grand Sitar Symphony travels. This was a wonderful and successful show in Hubballi, where our full ensemble, including my talented students, performed for a large and appreciative audience.
I believe in the healing power of music. It was an honor to perform at the 'Svaropachara' event for the Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation, sharing the calming vibrations of the sitar with patients and staff.
For a more personal experience, I love playing in baithak-style concerts. This was a recent performance at Artkhoj in Bangalore, where the audience can feel close to the music and enjoy the details of the raag.

Grand Sitar Symphony: For large weddings and events, I lead a team of 7 to 8 musicians. It is a full ensemble of senior disciples on sitar, along with a rhythm section of tabla and keyboard. We wear coordinated ethnic attire and perform arrangements designed to fill banquet halls with layered, orchestral Indian classical sound.

Intimate Baithaks: If you prefer a smaller setting, I love the baithak format. It is an informal, close-up experience where the audience can hear the nuance of the alaap and the interplay during a jugalbandi. It feels like home, perfect for poojas or private gatherings.

Healing Music: I also perform at wellness events, using the vibrations of the sitar to create a calm, meditative space. Music has a way of grounding us, and I have had the honor of performing this for the Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation to bring peace to patients and caregivers.

Logistics: Based in Bengaluru, I travel across Karnataka and beyond. For large events, we manage the audio requirements—typically needing high-quality instrument mics—to ensure the sitar’s delicate resonance carries through to every guest.
