The sitar doesn't just belong in a quiet corner. Depending on your event, I either perform solo for a focused classical mood or collaborate with a guitarist and percussionist to bring a fusion set that gets the room grooving.
Finding the Right Vibe
Music is about sharing a moment, whether it is a quiet morning or a loud party. My performances are never the same because the energy in every room is different. If you are looking for pure, meditative Hindustani classical music for a cultural gathering or a house baithak, I keep it acoustic and traditional. For weddings, sangeets, or cocktail nights, I switch to fusion beats and instrumental Bollywood covers that bridge the gap between tradition and modern energy.
My Setup
I bring my own professional-grade Naeem Sitar, but for sound, I depend on the venue. For solo recitals, a basic PA system and a single instrument mic are enough. For my fusion sets, I bring in backing tracks or a second musician to add depth. If you are worried about the technical side, do not be. I typically arrive 30 minutes before any performance for a thorough sound check to make sure the sitar sounds crisp, not lost in the background noise.
Travelling for Music
My music has taken me from the quiet hills of Uttarakhand to venues across Bengaluru. I am happy to travel for your event, and I always ensure the setlist is tailored to the theme you have in mind. Whether it is a 90s Bollywood night or a focused classical evening, I am here to make sure the music hits the right note.
